Visión general

Oversee the operation of the Eviction Court Mediation Program. Develop and maintain working relationships with Tenants, Landlords, Housing Justice Project, Landlord attorney’s, court staff and Judicial officers. Work with Rental Assistance, Early Resolution, HJP and the court to coordinate services. Assist clients in applying for rental assistance, conciliation services, Mediation and/or Meet and Confer sessions. Enter initial information into the extended reach database. When appropriate monitor volunteer performance including mediations, settlement writing and court forms. Develop a data collection process. Track case progress ensure that cases are moving quickly through the process. Collect demographics for all clients. Complete all reports needed for the program. Be available to answer volunteer and participant questions. Act as liaison between DRC, court personnel, HJP Landlords, Tenants, and volunteers. Be available in person and/or remotely (depending on program needs) while court is in session.

Requisitos

o Bachelor’s degree, Appropriate experiences and skills also considered.

o Demonstrated conflict resolution, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Completion      of Mediator Practicum

  • Certification      as a Small Claims Mediator

  • Certification      as a Mediator

  • Strong      organization skills

  • Proficient      in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Excellent      communication and interpersonal skills

  • Familiar      with public speaking

  • Extensive      knowledge of online platforms Zoom, Google drive, DocuSign, google forms,      and Online databases.
